Cinco de Mayo Margarita Mocktails!
Happy Cinco de Mayo!!! How are you guys celebrating this fun holiday? Over here at Team Ambrosia Head Quarters, we’ve decided to toast the occasion by concocting up some pretty fantastic margarita mocktails! Enjoy! Toast the Town with Mocktail Margaritas! – Brit, Team Ambrosia How LUCKY are we that Cinco de Mayo just so happened to coincide with a Friday this year?! I mean, Happy FriYAY indeed right?! Now what would a Cinco de Mayo celebration be without some sort of Margarita involved?! Although we’re going to put a little spin on things by sharing a healthier, non-alcoholic alternative with all of you today. Because not so fun fact: Margaritas are notorious for having high levels of both simple sugars and sodium (hellooooo… all that salt on the rim and syrup in the drink?!) which can lead to both sugar spikes AND weight gain! A fact which is definitely not celebration worthy!! SO to ensure that we’re all having a VERY happy Cinco de Mayo, whilst still being mindful of what we’re putting into our bodies… here’s our very own healthy version of a Margarita mocktail!! Ingredients
  • 1 lime (juiced) – plus a couple of slices for garnish
  • 1-1.5 tsp of honey
  • ½ cup of Zevialemon & lime twist
  • ¼ cup of natural orange juice
  • Ice
  • Mint & salt for garnish (optional)
  1. Pour all ingredients into a pitcher and mix
  2. Rim cup with salt (optional)
  3. Fill ½ of the cup up with ice *** hot tip: if you want your margarita blended & slushy, simply pour the mixture along with the ice into a blender and blend away!
  4. Pour mocktail margarita mixture into the cup
  5. Garish with limes and mint (optional)
  6. Serve!
